I’m beginning to see silence differently.
Not as an absence, but as space for something to emerge.
It feels like a timely reflection as I head into meditation facilitator training in a few weeks, where I imagine part of the practice will be learning not only when to speak, but when to leave space.
We spend so much of life filling the gaps with words, plans, answers, stimulation, and movement.
But when things get quiet, we have a chance to notice what is already there.
A feeling.
A thought.
A desire.
A truth we may have been moving too quickly to hear.
It makes me curious:
What might happen if I leave a little more silence?
Maybe we don’t need to fill every space.
Sometimes silence allows the experience to happen.
