Field Notes, Essays & The Signal
This is where I explore the ideas I’m learning to notice, practice, and live.
Much of my writing sits somewhere between health, awareness, regulation, self-relationship, and the ways we participate more fully in our lives.
Some ideas arrive as Field Notes: short observations, questions, and tensions that are still taking shape.
Others become Essays, where I give an idea a little more room to develop.
And The Signal is my newsletter, bringing together reflections and practices around the ideas I’m exploring most deeply.
None of this is meant to offer a finished answer.
It is an ongoing exploration of what happens when an idea moves beyond something we understand and begins to change how we notice, choose, and live.
Field Note 003 | The Pace of Experience
Stepping back from the meditation teacher training for a moment, I noticed something about pace.
Field Note 002 | Breathing Beneath It All
I recently completed my Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructor certification.
Since then, I’ve been thinking about how much our breathing shapes the way we move through life.
Field Note 001 | Silence
I’m beginning to see silence differently.
Not as an absence, but as space for something to emerge.
It feels like a timely reflection as I head into meditation facilitator training in a few weeks, where I imagine part of the practice will be learning not only when to speak, but when to leave space.
The Signal Newsletter - More of You, Available
But I've been learning that noticing what's happening and having the capacity to respond differently aren't always the same thing.
That's where regulation enters the conversation.
Or, in language I find a little more human:
Your Inner Chill.
The Signal Newsletter - The Moment You Notice
As summer winds down, I'm wrapping up my functional breathwork certification.
One of the more surprising things I've learned is that my own breathing wasn't always as functional as I assumed it was.
I Think I’m Onto Something
There is a feeling I have been experiencing more often lately.
It is difficult to name because it is not certainty.
I do not have the entire philosophy mapped out, the business fully built, or the next chapter neatly defined.
But I keep having the sense that I am onto something.
